Session 125 - Abominable Luck


Death comes to those atop the mountain!

After a whole session of fighting their way up Mt Deathfrost, half the party find themselves at the front door in a rocket-powered siege tower pulled by a ton of Subjugated dead while the other half find themselves doing a not-great job of negotiating with a Necromancer before killing him.
On top of that, the vampire king they're trying to find might not even be home today.

The dice roll ever in their favour. For now.



Rule Change Trial:
The d30 can be used in place of a d20, or used to increase any other die by one size.
So like 1d4 > 1d6 > 1d8 > 1d10> 1d12 > 1d20 > 1d30
Because it was brought up that the roll-d30-for-anything thing tends to trivialise challenges rather than create moments of heroism. The other option is to limit the things it can be used for, which would be boring. We'll trial it anyway, and if it sucks we can change it back!

 ---Otherwise I’d never use it: The d30 starts on the player’s side. You can replace any single d20 roll with the Big Purple d30, or expend the use of the d30 to increase any other die by one size. When you use the d30 it goes to the DM’s side. The DM can then use it in a similar way.
Declare before rolling. Anything outside the normal die’s range is a success.
Feed me beer: If you bribe the DM with a beer you can steal the d30 back to the player’s side, even pre-emptively.

Session 125 - Abominable Luck

Campaign Date:
Thursday, 19 May, 1550
Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent

- Anticipated, but never showed up.

New Backstory:
- Jack had the worst birthday when the head of his father was presented to him by the ones who'd massacred (emphatically not decimated) his entire clan. (15th May - on this date in the game, in real life, and on your actual birthday, receive 10 gold by some means. Gain exp from this as normal)
- Jade told her prior adventuring party to go on ahead of her and leave her behind in a dangerous dungeon... she was the only one to survive. (While fleeing, can give your flee die to another group)

- Just SO MANY skeletons like at least a hundred (1000 exp)

Events:

- Most of the group has been huddling in the siege tower for some time, snatching rest when they can. A mass of skeletons waits at a distance. There are whooping sounds from the trees, and occasional shouts can be heard through the rain. (50 exp)
- Jade and Jack find their way in through the crowd of skeletons, banging open the door and dragging themselves in. Cranky Jim chucks a zombie child off the cliff he just climbed, gets into the siege engine, and wrings out his beard. (50 exp)
- After arguing about what to do next for a while, there's a knock at the siege tower door. Outside, a bedraggled guy in Necromantic robes! (50 exp)
- He explains the siege tower is parked illegally, and needs to move out of the way so the bridge can be fixed. Zan says he should be killed, the guy flees! (50 exp)
- Zan sprints out into the rain after him! Tackles him into the mud and starts choking him out! He looks up to see he's surrounded by skeletons, which immediately begin attacking! (50 exp)
- Sophia, Jade and Svetnir run up to the top deck of the siege tower. Sophia sucks down a Last Breath, begins Subjugation! (50 exp)
- Waves of the Dead begin to be affected, falling under her control. It's insane. (50 exp)
- Jade's Magic Missile goes off, exploding the head of the Necromancer being choked out by Zan. He's messy now. (50 exp)
- Skin kites descend upon the siege tower, drawn to the violence. One eats a goblin, others envelop other people up top. (50 exp)
- Whooping from the trees! Jade bugs out with Jack, they begin trudging through the forest up the mountain... before hands grab around their ankles! (50 exp)
- Jade fires off her new spell - Strange Waters - a ball of water containing little fish pops above their heads! Jade's one makes her release an energy burst, blasting the buried zombies! Jack eats one and... becomes one inch high. He takes up station behind her ear. (50 exp)
- Sophia's subjugating these skeletons with abandon! She's got heaps! Svetnir blasts the skies with a flame rune, knocking down incoming skin kites. (50 exp)
- Cranky Jim tries to rope down a flesh kite, ending up throwing it away from the siege tower. (50 exp)
- Jade pops off a Mirror Image and... a head-pounding wall of sound blows over everyone. Suddenly everything is photo-negative, the undead are gone, and Zan is glowing like a ringwraith's true form! (50 exp)
- Confusion reigns as Zan is attacked by many claws - until it becomes obvious that the Dead are merely invisible! (50 exp)
- Lorrick bugs out, following Jade and Jack up the mountainside! (50 exp)
- Everyone else runs into the siege tower, the photonegative undead invisibility pulsing every few seconds and showing staccato scenes of approaching undead. (50 exp)
- Sophia orders the skeletons to form a bridge across the chasm - it totally works! (50 exp)
- Cranky Jim sticks a stick across the stairs, tripping all the monkey-like ghouls that are swarming through the door! (50 exp)
- Zan blasts out a Turn Undead, and most of the ghouls flee! Their old stanky bastard of a leader isn't fazed though. (50 exp)
- Lorrick's met up with Jade and the diminutive Jack. He spiderclimbs (or squirrel-climbs) up the wall, ties up a rope for the others, and hides. (50 exp)
- Jack is put atop a crossbow and does these ones, albeit with Jade's fog demon coming up behind him! He lands in the mud past the curtain wall with a squelch. (50 exp)
- A man in black armour atop the wall booms "ENOUGH!". The photonegative pulse stops, revealing that Jade and Lorrick are surrounded by skeletons with crossbows. (50 exp)
- Down at the siege tower, things are mysteriously quiet. The siege tower is taken across the bridge after a little testing. Skeletons line the path. The tower squeaks along, pulled by skeletons. It is ominously allowed to pass over several bridges and crossbow skeletons in the trees. (50 exp)
- Jade summons an eyeball demon with radioactive teats and rides it towards the gate!!! For like 30 seconds before it disappears in a puff of radiation. (50 exp)
- Somehow her story that she's there on a diplomatic mission from Fate is... believed? The Necromancer guy lets them through the curtain wall gate, and tells Jade, Lorrick and the newly expanded Jack to meet him in a tower in the courtyard. (50 exp)
- Jade tells him that the Siege Tower team isn't with them, so he orders his forces to attack! (50 exp)
- Jade also persuades the Necromancer to let them stay in the castle, Dracula-style. He totally agrees until Jack fucks up a pickpocket. He slams the door and locks it, but is attacked by Jade's smoke demon! (50 exp)
- They blow a hole in the door with a glyph, then Jade fires a hyperpoison crossbow bolt! It hits the Necromancer... but unfortunately it hits the fog demon too! They both detonate in a cloud of doom poison. (50 exp)
- The siege tower group have a plan. The endless hordes of skeletons begin to turn towards the tower... (50 exp)
- Svetnir PUNCHES THE RUNE! A huge jet of energy pours out of the back of the tower, other runes on the sides of the tower are activated to turn the sides to impenetrable crystal! Crossbow bolts clatter off the clear sides as it careens towards the cliff edge! (50 exp)
- We have a minor break where it is decided whether the d30 can be used for unusual on-the-fly things that people are allowed to roll to make it feel dramatic. Tie broken by Andy - it's a no. CHAOS REIGNS! (50 exp)
- And yet somehow it comes up good! Rather than careening dramatically off the edge, it careens, with the help of all the skeletons and horses and other steering mechanisms, straight into the front gate! The front slams down, the party's on top of the curtain wall! (50 exp)
- Meanwhile, a mass of crawling skeletal hands has begun crawling into the room that Team Diplomacy is in! Oh no! They make a run for it! (50 exp)
- No problem for Samurai Jack who gets caught... then just cleaves through the lot of them. So much for that! (50 exp)
- The pursued finally meet back up with the siege tower group, emphatically not telling them why the Dead suddenly started attacking. Shit's got reeaaaal! (50 exp)

Session 124 - White Milk Junkies

Session 124 - White Milk Junkies

Campaign Date:
Market Day, 15 May, 1550
Moon Phase: New Moon
Zodiac: Taurus

New Characters:
- Douglas Dongle, a brave Halfling with big dreams and a short lifespan.
- Double, a Halfling farrier who wields hoof nippers and a horseshoe.
- The Greater Fate Shepard's Union (GFSU), a gaggle of shepards scoping for a white milk fix

- Five milked-up ratmen, smashed and chopped but they got some good bites in! (125 exp)

Events:

- Jade takes a cigarette, puts it in her mouth. The smoke lets her see into the infrared spectrum! She uses this to find the trapdoor that the ratmen fled down into. (50 exp)
- Joining her for this delve are Gorund, a couple of Halflings, and the gaggle of shepards that make up the Greater Fate Shepard's Union (50 exp)
- They descend! Into the brass and steam underground machinery that clanks and clatters beneath Fortress City Fate. It's filthy. People live down here. (50 exp)
- Hearing voices, the group head in that direction. It's some goblins! (50 exp)
- Their leader, Spigot, is swiftly mind-controlled by Douglas. He gives up his lard after a moment of confusion, and tells of the ghosts and strange mechanical beasts that roam these tunnels. (50 exp)
- Asked where the ratmen have been coming from, Spigot shows the group where they've been crawling into a huge sewer pipe, you'd have to climb along the inside. (50 exp)
- Douglas has a great idea, he'll get on Spigot's shoulders and get him to jump in! Spigot complies, jumps, and they are both pulled underwater by the rushing undercurrent! (50 exp)
- They drown in shit. (50 exp)
- The other goblins, aghast at their leader's actions, take their leave and go to see if they can recover their boss's body downstream. (50 exp)
- Jack the Samurai conveniently turns up! The group head back the other way, to where the ratmen supposedly come from. They meet a city maintenance guy down there who tells them to report any damage to the authority. (50 exp)
- Opening a hatch door, Jade puffs on another red eye cigarette. Within - ratmen! And normal men! They look around inside, revealing they're all white milk junkies! (50 exp)
- They need a fuckin' fix, man. Gorund tries to wrestle one into the wall to interrogate it but fails! It bites into his shoulder and infects him with White Milk! (50 exp)
- A human junkie grabs at Jade's leg... and she begins making out with him. Lovely. (50 exp)
- Everyone is wrestling terribly. Jack is especially bad at this, failing over and over and getting milked up to fuck. He's intensely agoraphobic, but has heaps of extra HP! (50 exp)
- Jade disembowels the guy she's been kissing... dick first. It's rough. (50 exp)
- "Man how are these shitty rats not dying yet?! Oh shit of course! They're on White Milk!" (50 exp)
- The extras run in! And promptly all fall over each other slapstick style. More shit wrestling, resulting in Gorund's shoulder getting chewed open. Jade blows some ratmen minds very literally with a magic missile barrage. (50 exp)
- With their shit finally together, the team finally manage to kill all the ratmen. Phew! (50 exp)
- Squealing from the next room are some rat swarms! Oh no! They're dealt with quickly via Jade's firewater spell and Jack diving into the swarms sword-first. (50 exp)
- In the next room, a massive heat signature. It's a fucking enormous rat! Being milked by clanking machinery! She squeals! (50 exp)
- Jade and Jack grab some White Milk from the frothing chambers that seem to be processing it, pouring it into various honey jars and wine bottles that they've got on hand. (50 exp)
- Jade climbs onto the rat mother, puffs a cloud of cigarette smoke, and sees the CRAWLING HORDES BEYOND! She uses a hyperpoison crossbow bolt and fires it into the crowd, and everyone flees! (50 exp)
- They close the door behind them and run, back to the surface and safety! (50 exp)
- We discover that both Jack and Gorund have developed a taste for that sweet white milk... (50 exp)
- On the surface, they catch their breaths and Jade goes off to have a drink. We discover Lulu's retroactive carousing results in a significant debt, but Jade and Gorund bail her out. (50 exp)
- Jade goes to Bolter Blacke's apartment. He initially refuses to see her, but lets her in once she tells him she knows the source of White Milk. For some reason we begin Maximum Amdram Mode. (50 exp)

Session 123 - Rains and Ratmen

Phew! For a session where it felt like not much happened, a lot of stuff sure did happen.

Guido is reunited with his sons.
POWERMAN fights a villainous woman in the pouring rain.
Jade and her fog demon battle ratmen on a mission to discover the source of the drug White Milk.
Mt Death Frost is approached yet again, albeit this time the party has a siege tower Sophia is an absolute monster of a Necromancer who can subjugate whole armies of the damned essentially at will.

And, of course, Jain Doe is back!

Session 123 - Rains and Ratmen

Campaign Date:
Market Day, 15 May, 1550
Moon Phase: New Moon
Zodiac: Taurus

New Backstory:
- Lorrick has a child! They're being looked after by his mother back at the quarry, and is emphatically not the baby that got its fingers eaten by Jade. (Next character can be your child, starts with half your exp)
- Lorrick was set upon by chalk-stealing bandits! He nearly died, but he raged against the dying of the light to fight for his son. (+1 to unconsciousness rolls)
- Jain was born under an omen of doom, sold to slavers during a famine so her kin could pay for food. (+1 HD of health for the rest of the session whenever a PC dies)
- Jain had a surprising turn of good luck... once. But no longer. Her spiteful murders of her brothers got her where she is today. (After you fail a roll, get +1 to your next roll)
- Svetnir's people were dying in the goblin ghetto when the twinned cities refused to give them food. He smuggled food in, giving a little more to those most in need. (people gain double HP from food you've given them).

Events:

- The party meets up with Jain Doe for the first time in a long time! She's back in the city after some time up in the mountains with her business! (50 exp)
- Her first port of call - head to the Wild Inventoria and get her "Cliffhanger" grapnel gun made (50 exp)
- Jade, meanwhile, talks to Bolter Black and tells him she'll get to the bottom of the White Milk supply. She also discovers Wizzbang Will is Slim Jimmy's brother... and ths also Guido's son. (50 exp)
- She visits Wizzbang Will's smokey druggy high street drug shop, buys some Alterket, tells a disbelieving Will that she'll take him to his dad. (50 exp)
- He's not having any of it, so the party bodily carries him from the shop. Passers by express alarm! Everyone knows Will! (50 exp)
- Townsfolk intervene, then Lorrick begins casting a spell! People react like he's pulled a gun! A have-a-go hero tackles him to the ground... and all the magic is sucked out of the area for a few moments. (50 exp)
- Jade tries to talk her way out of it, but gives up and lets him go. They head to Slim Jimmy instead. (50 exp)
- The next day it's absolutely bucketing it down outside and the gang have found Slim Jimmy at O'Flannagan's Eirish Fuckhoel. They say his dad's on their ship. He kind of believes them. (50 exp)
- Suddenly! The door bursts open! It's Half-Seductress, a woman with one half seductive and the other half grungy! POWERMAN leaps into action and tackles her outside! (50 exp)
- A battle ensues, before Sophia aka POWERLADY walks out and lightning-blasts the villain away. She questions POWERMAN, who says this sort of thing has been happening a lot lately. He doesn't know why. (50 exp)
- Slim Jimmy follows the party, figuring they haven't lied to him yet. Also relates a story about that cursed bell crushing a family. They brave the rain down to the docks. (50 exp)
- Dear god! It's you! I spend an embarrassingly long time talking to myself via two characters with the same voice as the party stand there watching in the pouring rain. (50 exp)
- Guido's body collapses over running water, but his head's fine. The head is taken to Wizzbang Will where a similar reunion happens. Jade uses her elf abilities to weasel info from Will - the White Milk comes from a Persian restaurant. (50 exp)
- Party split! Jade heads to the restaurant, the others decide to take the siege tower to assault Mt Death Frost! (50 exp)
--- Team Jade
- Collecting her boyfriend, Bolter Black, and a couple of toughs, Jade tells him all. They head to the Persian restaurant together. (50 exp)
- It's got a couple dining in there, Persian decor, strangely robed people serving food behind a bar. Very exotic. (50 exp)
- Investigating a corridor, Jade is told "don't go back there!" in a strange accent by one of the serving girls. Jade throws Stabby the Dagger! The serving girl catches it in her robes, pulling them off herself as she does so... (50 exp)
- IT'S A RATMAN! The young couple look at each other aghast as the ratmen run off, abandoning their disguises. (50 exp)
- Jade pursues! She jumps over the counter as several ratman toughs pile out of the corridor. Bolter Black and the henchmen shake off their shock and fight them! (50 exp)
- Jade kicks open the kitchen door, finding a couple of rat-chefs in the kitchen! White milk and rat meat abound. Her fog demon billows around her, then strikes at the chefs! (50 exp)
- Leaving the demon to it, Jade grabs a knife then dodges back into the main room. A flash, and mirror images blossom around her. (50 exp)
- She shoots a ratman with her crossbow, and white milkiness bubbles out around the wound. (50 exp)
- One of Bolter's henchmen has their throat ripped out by rat teeth before the others flee. Bolter himself looks at the multiple Jades with tears in his eyes and stumbles out the front door. (50 exp)
- Jade leaves him, pursues the ratmen. She kicks down the door to the men's and finds them leaping out to attack.. but they hit the mirror images. Her fog demon returns, bloody chunks of rat-chef orbiting within. (50 exp)
- Jade casts Ray of Enfeeblement on a ratman, whose muscles wither before its very eyes. They attack, fail, then flee. (50 exp)
- Citizens burst in through the door in time to see Jade standing there, playing the victim. She tells them of the rats, and they search through the whole restaurant for a basement entrance. No such luck... yet... (50 exp)
--- Team Deathfrost
- Taking the siege tower, pulled by oxen and a re-animated Guido, the party heads to Mt Deathfrost. Surely this siege tower will overcome that dark fortress! (50 exp)
- Passing a dug-up graveyard, the party investigate. The graves are empty, but tracks lead over a rise. Sneaking over, it seems a Necromancer is gathering forces! (50 exp)
- Atop the siege tower, Sophia comes around the rise. In a voice like coffin lids closing, she commands the Dead to obey her! And obey her they do. (50 exp)
- The Necromancer, atop a skeletal horse, doesn't know what to do. They steal all his stuff and interrogate him - he's a scion of Corpulus Thrall and the password to Mt Deathfrost is "Ghostly Fear". (50 exp)
- The party take his horse too, and continue on to the Black Gate at the foot of Mt Deathfrost. They are challenged! Sophia claims to be Corpulus Thrall herself, and gives the password. (50 exp)
- Sceptically, they are let through. Albeit the siege tower must be taken around the gate since it won't fit otherwise. (50 exp)
- The mud-soaked path up the mountain is lined with unmoving skeletons. It is slow going. Cranky Jim peels off to travel via the forested slopes. (50 exp)
- Eventually, they reach a bridge formed of animated skeletons all holding onto each other. Getting the siege tower across is a dubious prospect. (50 exp)
- The bridgekeeper, another Necromancer of course, crosses from the bastion on the far side to question the party. Diplomacy fails, and the party attack! (50 exp)
- At the bridge, Grijze tries to inject the Necromancer with a sedative, but is thrown onto the skeleton bridge! Their skeletal arms grasp at him! (50 exp)
- Jain Doe's ice beam goes wide, so she charges another. Sophia takes another Last Breath and starts to subjugate the bridge. Lorrick begins casting Magic Missile. (50 exp)
- The bridge keeps holding onto Grijze, but Sophia begins Subjugation by converting three skeletons. (50 exp)
- Zan smacks the Necromancer with his mace, before Lorrick's magic missiles blast him right in the chest and down the cliff! (50 exp)
- As he falls, the bridge loses cohesion. Sophia's skeletons hang on, but the rest plummet... with Grijze. (50 exp)
- Jain tries to save him with a beam of plants! And misses. Svetnir tries to save him with the grapnel gun! But it fucks up due to dodgy human craftmanship and only the grapple head is fired, hitting Grijze on the way down. (50 exp)
- Grijze falls 60ft aka 20m aka 6 storeys onto broken rocky ground and under the wieght of countless bones. Everything in his body is pulped. He dies quickly. (50 exp)
- Meanwhile Cranky Jim, going even slower since he's got to climb the wet rock and steep cliffs, sees a creepy child just standing there in the straggly forest. It opens its mouth begins sobbing incredibly loudly. (50 exp)
- An ominous wind blows through the trees, and Jim sees man-shapes drifting above the canopy... (50 exp)

Session 122 - 24 Hour Party People

Finally, a breather!
Fortress-City Fate, shining capital of southern Loegria! A sort of exaggerated fantastical other-London built on brass and tax and fog.
More importantly, it has the best nightlife.

Jade's the big winner of this session, ending up with a pet demon AND a boyfriend AND her eyes and fingers back. Plus she's a citizen now, giving her access to a variety of city services at no extra cost, ability to buy things without the ruthless Fate price markup, and access to the city's Raise Dead system (albeit with a six month waiting list).

The city's druggy underworld, discovered easily through the party's shadiest contact Slim Jimmy, means that my hand has been FORCED and there's a drug subsystem now.
Take drug, get benefit and downside per dose. Save after they wear off to see if you're developing a tolerance/addiction.
​Here's a list of the common narcotics available, but your guy Wizzbang Will gets wacky new stuff in on a regular but random basis. 
You'll notice that you can negate the tolerance effect by taking more of the same drug. How convenient.
Names may be changed to dumb fantasy names but I've actually developed a soft spot for these equally dumb real-reference ones.

Session 122 - 24 Hour Party People

- Lorrick O'Chalk, a wizard and former chalk cutter who conveniently showed up after Gorund left to pursue a career in busking.
- Camrick, a Specialist and (ex?) cultist who was nevertheless so trusted by the party that they paid for his massive nights out in the city.

New Backstory:
- Svetnir's fancy secateurs were stolen in a racially motivated attack! He fought back, but lost. (+1 to hit people who've taken something from you)

Events:

- While the others recover from the ship explosions, Jade rolls the gold pentagram to the other side of the sand bar and brings the refugees they saved along. (50 exp)
- In concert with Lorrick who just turned up, Jade kills all the refugees in a summoning ritual! Sophia catches their last breaths to ensure they're not wasted. (50 exp)
- Success! An arcane horn from some unknown beast appears, spewing forth a living fog when called upon. It is the Fog Horn and it's Jade's forever now. (50 exp)
- Guido has a quick trawl along the bottom of the river for any dropped loot, then drags the longship back to the water and the party sails away! Hurrah! (50 exp)
- On the way to Fate, a zealot in a boat is passed. Stellen Egler, says "woe woe!" a lot. He's brought aboard and fed alternative facts about what happened to the temple-ship. (50 exp)
- Finally! Fortress-City Fate! The party tie up the ship and let Guido stay aboard as a figurehead. Stellen runs off immediately to inform the Church. (50 exp)
- Slim Jimmy finds the party almost immediately, he's Guido's son but tragically doesn't know that his dad is both "alive" and just outside the city. (50 exp)
- Jade decides to buy into becoming a citizen of the city! After a blood sample and a hefty payment into the city's coffers, she's in! Amongst other perks, she gets a small apartment and access to a bunch of city services at no extra cost. (50 exp)
- He gives the party the lowdown on the local drug scene (white milk and tawil being the drugs of the moment) and the party gets down to PARTY! (50 exp)
- Partying goes for ten straight days. Things get wild! Jade and Cranky Jim get inked! Jim's got a tattoo of Jade on his butt, Jade's got a ship sinking into her bumcrack. (50 exp)
- POWERMAN is set upon by thieves... alone! The scuffle continues until morning, when Sophia pokes her head out of the window of Jade's bedsit to see him holding one guy against the wall and the other a blackened corpse. (50 exp)
- Jade kicks on for another few days, waking up to angry priests at the Church of Nine Corners. Partyyyyy! (50 exp)
- Admin adventures continue! Cranky Jim buys chloroform, Jade hires a spy called Gor the Crippled to find eligible bachelors for her to flirt with. (50 exp)
- He recommends Bolter Black aka the Drug Baron. She sends him a perfumed letter. (50 exp)
- Sophia and Zan open up businesses! Sophia's business, Mortal Coil, is a freelance execution business. Zan's business is Fate's first Termaxian-exclusive temple! (50 exp)
- Jade gets her blindness healed by Zan and the Cure Critical Wounds scroll. Hurrah! She then spends a few weeks researching a new spell - Fey Flesh. (50 exp)
- She gets her spy to acquire a baby, then casts the spell and eats four of its fingers one by one. Oil-painting fingers shiver into existence! She passes the bawling baby back to the spy, who takes it back where he found it. (50 exp)
- Chaos ensues at the library! The young librarian at the front desk only lets people in if they're a Fate citizen, but shenanigans allow some people entry. (50 exp)
- Inside, they meet a strange man named Puppet who walks like a puppet and speaks like a muppet, and maybe eats people's livers. They also do some research, and Svetnir steals a book. (50 exp)
- Dr Grijze is on a humanitarian mission to help the sick and needy, maybe to balance out the party's karma. He meets a woman whose baby's fingers disappeared overnight.(50 exp)
- A familiar eldritch stench... he helps the baby then sweeps off to confront Jade. She ate a fucking baby! He finds her with new fingers, proving his suspicions. They argue, until Jade agrees that she'll help set up a foundation for digitless kids. (50 exp)
- A skeezy guy approaches Grijze with an offer - there's a siege tower stored nearby, a real steal! The party go check it out, getting given a tour like it's a home. Grijze haggles and gets it for a lower price! The party has a siege tower now! (50 exp)
- Jade gets a reply from Bolter Black - he's interested! After wining and dining him, he's totally hooked. Jade the fallen courtesan's got a drug dealer boyfriend, baby. (50 exp)
- And so, over a month later, we find the party up a siege tower, down a lot of cash, and loaded up with exp. A good time had by all! (50 exp)

- The Alchemist at the Alchemist's Cradle has special dispensation to perform his art, the King needs gold to fund the wars.
- The dark tunnels below the city contain more than vagrants and rats, the Resurrection Engine they use to raise the dead is down there too.
- Flower's Bower of Power is run by a witch! You can tell by the weird incense she uses.
